Welcome to Kansas City Backgammon!

Kansas City Backgammon is a club that hosts tournaments and puts backgammon players in touch with each other. The club is over four years old, starting out in August 2004. We have a tournament every Tuesday with two divisions: Advanced ($10 entry) and Limited (free). Please see the events page for a list of dates.

Entry fee: Free for Limited Division. $10 (with an optional $10 side pool) for Advanced division

Advanced Prize money: 90% payout as follows:

50% to undefeated winner of main bracket
20% to runner-up in main bracket
20% to winner of consolation bracket

90% of the side pool goes to highest placing side pool entrant

Sign-ups start 30 minutes prior to start time. Each player is guaranteed at least two matches. Please bring your own board if you have one. Tournaments begin promptly, so please do not be late. Late-comers will be added in "bye" spots of bracket, if there are any, only until 15 minutes past start time. If you are running late, you can call Kathleen Davis at 913-706-1125 and we may be able to save you a spot.
